NODAA Alumnae: Class #3 - January 8, 2005 - March 12, 2005

On Saturday, January 8, 2005, ten strangers entered the dental academy for the first time. This date unfortunately turned out to be one of the worst snow storms of the season! We all straggled in one by one. What a group we were! Lori had just had her preemie son, Matthew, not even due until March, but she still came. Tiffany's baby was also due in March and she was there too. From young, single girls to seasoned mothers, we were all thrown together with one common goal: to learn new skills that would enable us to enter into the world of dentistry as dental assistants. The 10-week journey had just begun.

Although we all came from diverse backgrounds, we ten women met together each week to accomplish the same objective - to finish school, pass our exams, graduate, and change our lives forever. We learned to respect each other's differences and enjoy our time together. We became friends as we struggled side-by-side with tests, lab procedures, memorization of terms, instruments and set-ups. We deeply appreciate Vanessa and Lynda (also Knicole) for their time, effort and patience on our behalf. We wish everyone the very best in their future endeavors as dental assistants, and we also say "good luck" to all classes to come.
