Dr. Ronald A. Cimaglio President Dr. Cimaglio is the President of the Northeast Ohio Dental Assistant Academy. He had over thirty five years of experience in the practice of family dentistry and has helped thousands of people maintain their dental health. In 2003, Dr. Cimaglio opened his current practice, Comfort Dental at Creekside Commons in Mentor, Ohio. Dr. Cimaglio has special training in computerized dentistry (Cerec) and Invisalign (invisible braces). Throughout his career, Dr. Cimaglio has helped over 10,000 people improve their dental health. When Dr. Cimaglio isnt working, you can always find him on the nearest golf course!

Mindy Mallett Kovalcheck, CDA, EFDA School Director Mindy is the School Director for the Northeast Ohio Dental Assistant Academy. She is a lifelong Lake County resident, and graduated from Gilmour Academy and Lake Erie College with a degree in English. Mindy began her dental career in 1994 as an assistant to Dr. Cimaglio. She quickly advanced to Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and then had special training at Case Western Reserve University to become a licensed Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA). Still working with Dr. Cimaglio, Mindy is now the Office Manager as well as an EFDA for Dr. Cimaglios Practice, Comfort Dental at Creekside Commons. Mindys interests outside dentistry include volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio, Painesville Area Habitat for Humanity and the Lake County Historical Society. Mindy, and her yellow Labrador, Buddy, reside in Concord.

Kathleen Rodriguez, CDA Instructor Kathy is the school's lead instructor. She has been with NODAA for one year. Kathy graduated from high school in 1983 and attended the Cleveland Institute of Dental and Medical Assistants right after high school. She has been working as a Dental Assistant for 24 years for Dr. Craig Shimizu, whose practice is in Lyndhurst. Kathy became Certified as a Dental Assistant by the State of Ohio in 1995. When she is not teaching or doing dentistry, you will find her at one of her son's baseball games! Kathy resides in Chesterland with her husband, son and golden retriever, Alex. She enjoys teaching, biking, swimming and baseball.
